Hi Alan, he is right it is not good to put up the address in this site but all of the member are very nice people, however let me ask you a question, I start to restore my 2nd E9 I didn't complete the restoration of my blue E9 I start the Malaga color E9 and I have a bad engine and I am not rebuilding the engine I am changing with more powerful engine the question is do we need to upgrade the frame and the shock tower, with kind of work that you do you should know, and I tell you I am not putting up a picture since when you changing E9 originality there is lots of complain and to many professional, when is completed then I will take a picture with all the detail this guys who is working on my car he is professional drifter and fixing the movie cars he is really good at what he dos one of our members was saying that E9 didn't maid to carry 300 HP engine what do you think.

I DO HAVE A FRONT STRUT BRACE THAT WILL HELP A BUNCH ITHINK
THE BODY ON THESE ARE LIKE A PIECE OF PAPER ABLE TO FLEX IN ALL DIFFERENT WAYS
ESP WITYH ALL THIS ADDITIONAL TORQUE.
MY APPROACH IS TO GET IT OUT AND DRIVE IT TO THE MAX
THEREBY INDICATING WHERE ADDITIONAL AN STRENGTHENER IS NEEDED
I HAVE A REAL GOOD SINCE OF OBSERVATION AND WILL KNOW RIGHT AWAY WHAT WILL BE NEEDED.
I THING FOR SURE THE REAR SUSPENSION MOUNTING WILL HAVE TO BE ADDRESSED
AND IVE SEEN HERE SOMEWHERE IT HAS BEEN DONE

WAS INSTALLING THE FINAL PIECES UNDER THE HOOD
IE HOOD SEALS
IT WEIRD THE FRONT MOST SEAL THAT SITS ON THE BACK OF THE NOSE PANEL
RIGHT ABOVE THE RADIATOR. HAS A PROFILE THAT WOULD SEEM TO SEAL AS IT IS
CRUSHED BY THE HOOD -YET THE MOUNTING LIP FACES FORWARD AND SEEMS LIKE IT SHOULD POINT UPWARD
WHATS UP WITH THAT? MAYBE I HAVE THE WRONG PIECE FOR THAT LOCATION
AS IT LOOKS A BIT DIFFERENT FROM WHAT I HAVE
ALSO WHERE DOES THE 69 PIC GO?

I HOPE THE ENGINE DOESNT MOVE WHEN I TORQUE IT UP AS THE AIR BOX IS
REAL CLOSE TO THE BRAKE BOOSTER
AS IT IS I BUILT A BEVELLED INSERT TO SWING IT TO THE LEFT SO AS TO CLEAR

I am sure seismographs in Menlo Park will register the car firing up.
Is the car outdoors in a car port?
 
Sad Monday - no update on weekend progress. Well, it's Valentine's Day, maybe Alan is 'otherwise occupied'!!

Still listening for the startup exhaust note here on the east coast.

now that would be a subjective statement that has no bearing on whether Alan's coupe is running yet or whether it will turn the motor so that it can start ... or whether the new battery is installed ... or if Logan has arrived. this is what inquiring minds want to know. what say you Alan ?
