Sorry to hear but I would keep looking for a race shop that has some experience with this type of transplant. Isn't there a shop in Petaluma?

I think the problem is some people have taken advantage if Allen and his different style of communication. Could’ve started right when he got the car and the engine I do not know. But I mean really it’s not a complicated engine they generally start up after years of sitting with bad gas in them.
 
It’s my understanding that his budget is in the $2,000.00 range.

Alan has always been a friendly good guy on the board.
BUT…
There is probably no reputable shop that will gift Alan $10,000.00 to fix, install properly and tune at Dyno his car.
 
Hot rods take a different approach. You just bite the bullet and pay what it's going to cost at a reputable shop. You can't have a budget at the 11th hour. You simply can't... you'll never get to the finish line. The good news is the cars have gone up so much in value, you can spend the money knowing if you want to sell down the road, you'll get your money out of it...at least in theory

This should have been resolved years ago. Plenty of skill here to make it happen. Unfortunately, the time is long past and alan has been hung out to dry on his own. Just my opinion.

I think there’s quite a few of us here who can get Alan‘s car started with one hand tied behind our back‘s. In fact I do everything with one hand. least until I get my coffee down.
It’s a bit late to get the car going according to Alan’s plan. But I’m a firm believer that people should trust their HACK mechanics. (and by that I mean me) Just do whatever simple to get the thing running
