Ed, in the interim, could you just cut a piece of 60mil EPDM just slightly larger than the outline of the emblem? This is what a "rubber roof" is made of, and should be available at most big box stores. Very easy to cut with scissors or a sharp knife (exacto, olfa). Just thinking outside the box.

Thanks... I didn’t attach the Roundel permanently (only some pieces of vacuum hose on the pins beneath the Roundel. I’ll look into something like you suggest for now..

Hi Ed,
This is an awesome restoration thread, your car looks amazing, I was wondering who painted your car, I have 1973 3.0 cs that it is going to need a paint job in the near future, I'm located in Houston and I wound't mind the driving.
Thank you
Victor

Thanks for the kind words, Victor. Local friend, here in Austin painted the car. He’s an old paint and body guy who now runs a specialty shop building electric muscle cars and other projects. He enjoys the paint work, so he does a few cars a year. He did an amazing job on this car...

Send me a PM and I can fill in more details.

Was a great weekend with lots of help again. Windows in and working! Original rear motors, working pretty good after lots of degreasing and regreasing. I have a quick video but can’t load it here :(

Driveshaft finally cut correctly, installed it and the entire exhaust system is in, including the chrome tip from Connor at Vintage Autobahn.

Andrew the ball joints have jamb nuts on them with no tie wire holes. They’re tight, though.

Tail lights are in and test fit the C-Pillar emblem. (Disregard the ‘71 Texas plate...)

Moved it indoors a couple weeks ago for final fitment. Rebuilt the heater box and installed it. Wiper mechanisms in. Carpet 95% done. New seat belts. Rocker trim installed. Engine fully plumbed now. Hope to add fluids and start it tomorrow.
