Just got the tires in from Longstone and I DID find two more Campagnolo from Japan so I have a full set now!
Yup, the wheel lost by UPS showed up after almost 3 months AND I found 2 more Campy wheels in Japan that were basically NOS. The only issue (slight) is the wheels are from two different year batches and the older ones have a slightly less silvery color. They also have less information cast into the face of the wheel. You have to be looking but I may end up having to respray them to get them all to match...Wow! You found the wheels, impressive
Put two less silvery on one side, more silvery on tge other. Nobody will notice, and you will quickly forget which is which.Yup, the wheel lost by UPS showed up after almost 3 months AND I found 2 more Campy wheels in Japan that were basically NOS. Love the trout.
Thanks Russ! Yea, I'm taking my time with it... I'll do a full release when I'm done buttoning it up.Don't know how I missed this thread, but huge congrats Tyson! That looks like an exceptional example to preserve.
Can't wait to see it on Campys and CN36s. Perfect choice.
I categorically don't like large wheels but I like this one a lot. Seems to fit the nature of the car really well..The Sport wheel is a tad smaller than the stock bus wheel and are getting pretty rare too.
Couple hard to find items just came in! Thanks to @Keshav I was able to get these killer NOS Campagnolo lug nuts from Germany for a song. I think they'll look awesome with the Campy wheels. And the 882 Driving fogs were REALLY hard to find... View attachment 153492View attachment 153493View attachment 153494
Haha! How many lights can you put on a 2002? I'll need a bigger alternator... Lol. Thank you, Russ. I'm still figuring out the light wiring to get these hooked up. One complication at a time. The lugs are satanic details. Very cool!
You need another pair of lights, Tyson... how about some big-assed Marchal 709 spots? I have a couple of sets in both clear and yellow lenses.
I'll put the box on BaT with a coyote motor in the background and get 15k for it...Both items are a thing of beauty. Since you are mounting the lug nuts you can just toss that old box!
