a simple plastic alignment tool is usually included with the clutch kit, if not, it's available separately:
not included in my case, plan to build one
there is a hole in the middle, it was filled with leather or felt

i can see no other way than pressure, but would it be a thread there ?
no thread, seems only pressure, but how to remove it ?

Have you tried heating the alloy housing? Is the housing bore open from the inside?
I'm very familiar with Porsche transmissions, not these.
But if the ballpin is unthreaded, it should fall out if the alloy housing is heated.
If it was installed with a retaining agent, adhesive or sealant, it might require some light tapping from the inside as well.
I would not attempt to press or drive out the ballpin from an unheated housing.

The pin is not threaded. You can find new ones made out of brass.
deQuincey, the E9 factory tool, Nr. 603, was re-numbered in the mid-1970s to Nr. 21 2 100.
It's pictured below in the E24 repair manual.
The tool diameters are 12mm for the pilot bearing, and 23mm for the clutch hub.

making one tomorrow, and yes, my own calculations gave me 12 and 23, glad that you confirmed
can you check lengths, please ? 12mm is around 26mm in length ? and for the 23mm i plan to go until 100mm to have enough length
The entire tool is 195mm long.
The 12mm end is 35mm long, and the 23mm middle section without knurling is 75mm long.

@frogisland is so kind that he will sell me one of his spares,
here now the question:
my actual gear box has a hole in the wall of the gearbox body, like this:
you can see no hole in the drawing, but thw hole is present in the part and also in the exploded drwaing from the orange books:
so everything works; the hole in the gearbox wall allows the oil to go out in that point, then the rod lets the oil come out through the hole up to the ball, so oil can travel and lubricate the ball
the ammount of oil is limited by the felt
here it comes the question,
my new gearbox has no hole in the wall; see here:
i do not plan to make a hole as that would mean to dissassemble the whole gear box,
how bad would be to eliminate the continuous oil lubrication (i have checked that the felt was completely frozen and i suspect no oil was coming actually), and substitute it by Moly grease ?
