Sierrabeige 1977 3.0Si Restoration in the UK

Looks like a mighty engine. I can understand that hiding such nice pistons inside feels like a waste. But you'll feel them later on :-)

If you don't mind me asking (just bought an M90 for my car i need of full resto);
What was the reason for keeping the 9.3:1 compression, and not increasing to 10:1 for instance?
What injection system will you be running?
It's a great question. I did consider that but went with standard CR as I didn't really want to end up with too much of a custom engine, if that makes sense? I think it's easy to fall in to the trap of optimising everything, and before you know it, you've got a racing car on your hands. That's not really what I want with this car, so I've decided to be a bit sensible (the Schrick camshaft is a small concession to my less sensible ideas ;)).

Injection system - watch this space!

I would certainly replace and extend the sound deadening material in the doors. Factory stuff adds little and is also 50 yo.
