Picked up my parts I had scattered around town! Fortunately some of it isn’t mine.

Edit: Since picking up parts isn’t “working” on your e9, a quick update. I had to remove enough bits off the long block for me to get the motor out of the trailer on my own. No ramp on said trailer. So I turned a wrench or two from 10:30PM to Midnight. I wanted to pull the head but I doubt Uhaul will be excited about a trailer full of motor oil.

Mark, where did u find that skateboard with the CSL on it. Super cool.

Came with my B35 but it is from here. I’ve been meaning to get one. Can’t skate with the boy until a vaccine though. He may be fine but I’m guaranteed a trip to the ER! :p

Wrestled with my motor. Another solo engine dance around midnight. Getting the long block off the subframe and onto a dolly. I need to buy a cherry picker! :D

Took a quick peek at the insides. I pulled the water pump and t-stat housing, installed an early timing cover, and an early valve cover. Threw my carbs on in and wheeled it into a corner. Now I can forget about it and move on to the next endeavor. Really though I need to prep it for storage. I just need it out of the way for a week or two.
Note to self, B35 studs are too short for an early valve cover.

Not that it matters right now but I did remove the bolt on the end of the cam that fastens the rotor mount.

Wow Chris! Very cool! I bought my coupe in 2003 and it was painted in 2004, it's still holding up. I'm saving my money to paint my six, it has original paint but is too far gone on the top surfaces to save.

Please start a project thread for your dismantle & respray so it doesn't get buried in this one.
Andrew, I’m not sure it is worth a thread on this. Since I’m not changing color or painting inside jams, engine and trunk it is a pretty simple remove belt trim, window sills, badges and all that other exterior stuff. I will have my belt trim polished and reshot with ceramic as well, I have a new windshield courtesy of Don from W&N. We will go down to bare metal by hand as my current paint is failing due to it being stripped previously only down to the factory primer. Everything is already removed from front half of the coupe and it only took two hours, need to remove rest of belt trim and rear bumper. Maybe I could document the reinstall process.

I overcame my fear of the front hood torsion bar. I pulled it this morning and boxed it up to ship away. Thanks to a few CSL owners on factory CSL prop measurements.

Used my head and installed the CSL prop first! :D
