Well, not today, but yesterday..
I cut out a larger section of the lower rocker to expose more rust. Now have a better plan for moving forward. Got my spot weld removal tool today, so tomorrow I'll pull off the entire lower rocker covering up to the front of the door. If the innards are clean, I'll stop there, otherwise I'lll go into the lower front fender and take out the entire lower section of the rocker covering. Definitely need some ear protection from all this grinding!!
Also took delivery of my new custom rebuilt M90 motor. A thing of beauty. It's the older long water-jacket version, just like my Euro 635. I know this engine well, and am confident it will be a literal kick in the pants to drive!
