Passed MOT and finally got my customized license plates. Made custom plate holders out of stainless steel plates.

Replaced oil again since car was smoking gray when idling. Getting better and better will see how it will be after thousand kilometers driven.

And there was opportunity so I bought new project 1968 2002.
"The BMW 2002 VIN 1613552 was manufactured on July 19th, 1968 and delivered on July 29th, 1968 to Yugoslavia. The original colour was Polaris metallic, paint code 060"
Looks solid was repainted in 80s. Plan is to go with turbo look and back to original color or black.

Hi, just reading up on your thread, nice work, and you're quite speedy in getting things sorted out.

I read on page 3 or so that your fan motor was making noises. The fan turbine is supposed to be balanced with small metal clips attached to the fins. I had 3 or 4 on mine, placed in high and low. I guess that if they are missing in your turbine fan, that you'd have the scraping noises you describe. You might want to check up if they are present. The can be seen through the metal grille.

Edit. After zooming in on your pics I see that three clips are attached to the white fins. Clearly they are not missing. Sorry for the confusion....

Thanks @eriknetherlands it still seemed so long :)

My fan motor is still making noises I believe I placed metal clips wrong or I am indeed missing some.

Small update I made around 2500 km with no mayor issues hope to make another 1000 km before winter hits.

I have measured ET on my wheels today for my friend who will be building custom wheels for his e9.

In case anyone else might find this info helpful here are measurements:

front: 8J ET17 205/45/17 - 5mm clearance with this setup (I have camber plates)
rear 9J ET13 235/40/17 - no more fender clearance with this setup

Before I towed her to paint workshop I removed carpets and seats to drive them to auto fabrics shop to have them repaired and replace upholstery. Also they will make me new floor carpets and trunk carpet.

Also I removed heater box and heater core since it was leaking.

Removed differential as well to have noisy bearing replaced.
Is the heater core under the dash, behind the blower?

My interior rear deck doesn't merge into the center piece that seperates the back seat. Mine is a 72 2800cs. Is your rear deck custom or is it standard in your year. Looks really nice!
