Robert - what size tires do you have on the back? 225/50-16 is the normal size - it has a diameter of 24.9" and a width of 9.2". i know you can probably fit a 245/45-16 in the rear - it has a diameter of 24.7" and 9.6" wide

225/50/16.

I think rsporsche said that was “ the bomb” a long time ago !

245 might have been a cool choice, but it is all good. When I run across some mega $$$ I’ll have to try a “period correct” tire ( Dunlop or Michelin) instead of my poor ($$$ literally) choice of Maxxis tires. At least the tread pattern is kinda correct for the period, so I didn’t miss the mark there.

Wheel/tire with 15mm spacer installed. The tire clears the wheel arch by about 3/8”.

Removed seat to slide it back for more legroom. Removed spacers to raise/reposition steering wheel upward.

Great fun.

Special tool for reinstalling the seats.

Note to self, if the power seat rails are ever so slightly twisted, then you torque down the seat to the bottom of the floor board, the seat will not go forward and backward.

This was a 2 hour trial and error learning experience.
