Engine-turned metal was used instead of the wood trim. It was so easy to form into place.

Original 1974 window sticker at $16,488.

That is a TON of $$ in 1974. I think the Mustang I have was ~$3,500 in 1968.
And the 2002 I had was about $6,900 list in 1973.

No wonder there are so few around today. Interesting to see the original window sticker. Thanks

Thx, that is interesting, I did the same but was not able to put the original style radiator in. Is it correct that you have a slightly adjusted radiator compared with the original? The center core looks a bit thinner then original? Interesting to check whether the M88 is slightly smaller in length then the S38b36. It looks like you have comparable clearance between your firewall and engine like mine has, while I didn't had to modify the firewall.

Does the M88 have different options/locations to attach the engine brackets in terms of the screw holes on the engine? I thought that the M30/M88/S38 are all almost equal to eachother regarding this what I read?
Hello, have you seen my E9 with M3 engine? there is the picture.

Sharkfest, a pleasure to meet Doug and Andrew at the show.

Wow, to-and-from Chattanooga (250 miles) with no leaks from the rear seals of the differential.
Or gearbox.
Or engine.
Or cooling system.

35 year old water pump did not leak
35 year old engine (m88) cruised at 80 mph and averaged 16mpg
Brakes do not pull
Driveshaft is balanced
No noise from gearbox bearings
No noise from differential
No noise from 50 year old wheel bearings
No problems with E30 electric fuel pump
No heating issues with exhaust
No exhaust system leaks/noise or vibrations

Tires/wheels are in balance
Alignment was good

Alternator is charging
Battery holds charge
Windows (all four) operate
Sunroof operates
Clutch engages smoothly
No radiator problems

What did I miss?

Progress report: "What did I miss?"

No fuel level indicator
Fuel light stays on
Speedometer is fast by 10mph
Odometer doesn't work
Fan to interior is inoperative
Steering box leak at input shaft
Wind noise at sunroof
Headliner installation still is a nightmare
Headlights need alignment
Torn leather at right rear armrest
Leather is releasing from dash at the corner
Miscellaneous door rubber trim needs to be glued
Front windows don't properly seal at the top rubber-to-back window area

Likely more to follow. Great fun.

Good luck with all of this, to put the engine is easier than fixing all rubber on door and windows I am working for long time to do the list like yours, for me is hard to do.

Had an artist friend “capture the car in front of the 1976 Speed Weeks banner.”

Yep, the 3.0CSL won that event.

Pushed the car outside to take a photograph.

I should’ve rolled the rear window up and hidden the battery charger cable.
