still workin on sorting out the light situation in the 74
its tricky even w/ the diagram as im using the h1's
getting closer though as the high beams shoul;d go out w/ you turn on the fog lights.

i was able to align all the headlight wiring and all function correctly
on the 74. there is a fog relay that shuts off the high beams
when to fogs come on
cool

i can help for sure if you have issues
i know that sucker by heart.
ive been workin on mine for two months
as i pulled a\it all in hurry
and added a 85 super eta harness for my s38
megasquirt

reset all the left fender equip
now that i got all the front wiring done
what a relief.
so i tried to tun over the engine with a regular battery and nothing.!!
so i hooked up the optima and it struggled with 4 plugs in
so set a recharge and holy toledo
the compression it amazing
going out of the snakes
its really LOUD

so setting the dash today and the front clips wont set -or stay
so i trimmed a slice of oak and slid it
inside the clip from underneath
. also the sunroof clips will also work in place of the dask clips if you need extras.

thank you for you kind comments
as i look at things- i sure knicked up a lot of stuff in the
multiassembly process- will have to get out the fine paintbrush for tons of
touchup.
finally getting to set up the dash
now that the wiring is good.

wheel center color template
so i used two pieces of plastic -
one inset in the wheel to center it and filled the "sandwich" with extra plastic and cardboard.
set the center piece first-then weatherstrip adhesive the top, as aligned with the center color
outline.
i cracked a piece of the def vent so jbwelded it back in place.
the left top of the driver side
sanded smooth and painting flat black
then mequires40
Ill post finish tomorrow

set the radiator hoses "kuhler"
used the stock m5 top one to begin with
then cut the cernter and rotated and added a 90 Deg at the bottom.

2.jpg
3.jpg

i used the stock radiator but had a third core installed and had the fittings come straight out.
used 1-1/2" copper pipe to connect the various pieces.
fits very well used the old orig hoses as needed bends.
trimmed off the excess hose clamp

it seems that with the 11:1 compression the 475 cranking amps arent't enough
to break it in.
so ill need two batteries till i run it for awhile
so borg warner makes a battery relay number 3098 .

so this relay only connects the second battery when the ignition is on.
that shoukl help.
