love the progressive springs for a coupe ... should make quite a difference. what about the rear springs? do they offer progressive as well? on chamonix, are you going to use the adjustable rear seats from Ground Control like you had on malaga?

No, I bought all four springs from Paul. They are side by side in the pics.

Actual body prep has begun! Looking at a one month timeline. I dropped off 14 pieces of chrome for plating and 20 pieces of alu for polishing at the plater, one month ECD. Wood went to my guy in Poway this morning, I met up with him in Oceanside, one month ECD. After lagging in my efforts for six months I’m suddenly on a roll. Haven’t started on interior yet but I plan on driving it on my next Küstenfahrt after summer, maybe sooner.

Individual preference on how the car sits and then how the car drives. You may like one and not the other. I have Dinan's in my e24 and I love the way it sits but the ride is harsh. An active comparison of our spring options needs to be made which requires either a simulation or a standardized road with active high frame rate filming. It is possible that some can have the progressive springs and never see the variable/progression engaged. Alternative is to have a compressor and generate a force vs displacement curve but that may also never apply to the real world depending on where/how you drive. We also forget the struts being used which will have some effect on compression since they offer resistance.

Just got my instruments back from Gail’s Speedometer https://www.gailspeedo.com/ and they look amazing. Mike has done several instruments for me over the years and these were cleaned and the speedometer was fixed as the weight was becoming detached which detects speed. Unfortunately he can not repair VDO clocks and mine has a broken gear inside. Palo Alto Speedometer wants $750 plus shipping to replace the quartz movement! Recent shots of the body as primer is going on today. Photo on the quarter sawn oak is for @bavbob.
