Swedish 1973 3.0 CS restoration

Bodywork continues but I can now see the end of this chapter , all rust-issues solved (some minor blasting / grinding left) . Finally got round to fixing the. body to my rotisserie to finish of underside and put some underproofing/paint on that.

Put a few hours into panelgapping doors and hood , still have the rear lid to do.
I love seeing how you attached the chassis to the rotisserie. Well done.

Started rustrepair in the boot , doing the inner and outer rear wheelhouse . Fabricating a patchpanel for the rear fender and doing repairs on the c-pillar.
Hello, and God bless you what you are doing is work of art first what I look at it I said this is impossible to fix how did you do all this work what is your perfusion that you know all this work I hope it pays off all that hard and impossible work that you are doing how ever post more picture I am always following your work or I should say your art work

Finally decided what color it is going to be, many people seem to like Ceylon , I am unfortunatly not one of them.. New color for this will be Polaris 060.

Primed and sealed underside , put one layer of temadur 20 , one layer of Teroson Terotex s3000 and a final layer of silver 2k paint.

Got the car down from the rotisserie and started to fit the sill-covers , did not really liked how the fitted so I made new "ends" in the rear that are 8 mm longer . This made the fit much better . I also "upgraded" from fastning the sillcovers with sheetmetalscrews and instead installed M4 nut inserts that I dipped in epoxi during fitting.

Got primer and seal in the enginebay also and put a layer of silver there also, although painter will later do this to a more proffesional finish.

While the car is at the painter I had the chance to clean the garage and build an engine . Almost done. 3.5 Litre from an -91 735 E32. Bored to 2nd OD 92,5 mm , block decked, crank + hubs and flywheel balanced, head re-built and a set of dbilas ITBs fitted.

Speaking of other restorations, you should post some pics of your Alfa for the many Alfa enthusiasts here on the forum. I love it.

Great work as usual!

Modified exhaustside enginemount.

My car has factory AC which I think is really nice , got inspired from the Sanden 508 DIY thread and orderd a compressor and condensor. Compressor now fitted , brackets etc will be zinc-plated later.

Took my windowmotors apart, cleaned them and put a 0.45 mm shim in the bottom to get a decent play and speed to them again.

36 Months after restoration began I collected the car from paint today. Very pleased with the result. Doors and lids are only put in place to be able to get the car home so there is some aligment work to be done.
