Getting my '70 ready for some winter work. Hope to have it up and going by spring. Just doing some rust analysis...

Blasting eastbound to OFest. Car is running well, only minor issues, but did lose driver’s side wiper arm in a downpour in Atlanta yesterday morning. Really sucks, it was a nice one... I really thought it was on tightly. Darn...

Stopped off to see Ray in Savannah. He’s a good guy from the FAQ.

But it looks like you were clipping along at a good pace!

Speedo may be reading somewhat high... :)

That was 80mph by the speedo App on my phone. The car is very dependent on road surface as to how it behaves. Some surfaces it develops a harmonic vibration so I end up hunting a particular speed it likes.
I’ll rebalance the tire/wheels when I get home.

Fitted the rebuilt servos, cleaned the fluid reservoir and pipes, fitted new seals to the input pipes in the brake and clutch cylinders as they were leaking, found the old seals hard and installed upside down! fitted new Bilstein sports shocks and drilled W&N discs that came with the car,
one question, what tyre / tire pressure do you run with stock 7j 14 wheels and I think from memory 195/70/14 or maybe 205/70/14 tyres?

how can you tell my wife is away, in Singapore?

I will do if the motor needs more than a little work. If it’s just the brushes or the solenoid, I’ll keep it as I’m kind of trying to keep the car as original as possible (it’s an an original unrestored car).

Plus despite the threads saying so, it doesn’t seem that easy to get hold of the 440/441s here in the UK, although I’ve not asked around too much.

But I will never say never

Last weekend we drove from central Switzerland to the wine country of Neuchâtel. Avoided highways, and just cruised through beautiful villages, over rolling hills, magnificent! Esmerelda ran perfectly.

We hiked around the vineyards and the town of Bevaix, and spotted this jewel in a very high-end driveway!

A great weekend with amazing weather. Thanks again Steve.

Got home this evening after a torrential thunderstorm about an hour from home. I put 3516 miles on the CS this week. Time for a detail and oil change!
