I love that you drove all those miles in your classic.

I always intended this car to be a driver. However, I had hoped to get some shake down miles on it prior to the long trip...it had maybe 15 miles on it before hitting the road a week ago. There were some minor issues with a finicky driver’s door latch, a lost wiper arm in an Atlanta storm, and the ignition cylinder came out with the key on Day 4... all these problems were overcome with the help of friends.

I look forward to many years of driving joy.

Ed is a true enthusiast and his car is awesome and I got to drive it. He stayed in the HBChris/SFDon suite here at the New Orleans e9 B&B location, although I don't think breakfast was served! Special discount for e9 forum members and free guard dog services!

I learned that my coupe is bigger, faster, and more comfortable than my E30 Cabrio

Thanks to DeQ, we swapped mirrors, I put on a new pair of Traps he sent me and he is getting my Flags. I prefer the look of these vs the others (I know, I know!).

Looks great Steve! I am 100% behind the "small" traps. They are larger than my M3 mirrors and I saw everything just fine through those.

I like traps better also. Call in on-driver ignorance.

Well, not today, but this past weekend, I said a fond 'Sayonara' to Lorelei. I know I will miss seeing her in the garage every day as I have for the past 27 days since she was adopted by a new caretaker.

The reason for that specific farewell is that she was loaded onto the trailer for the first leg of a long trip. The buyer lives in Tokyo, and Lorelei will be moving west to eventually arrive in the far east. My visitation rights will be complex!! - ha.

Anyway, I am very comfortable that the new caretaker is going to provide her with a great place to reside, and I hope looking at and driving her brings much joy to him and his family (he is a native of Ohio). I just wonder if she won't require a name change in her new land!!

Thanks to all for your wonderful support and comments since I decided in mid-summer that it was best for all involved for Lorelei to reside with a new caretaker.

Gary--
