What do you drive when not driving the E9???

Audi TT as DD. Have had quite a few other Audis as DDs and not so DDs.

(Fjord) 1974 2002tii. My daily driver since 1986. Or my (Inka) 1973 2002tii. The three BMWs are the only cars I have other than the wife's Honda...

What do I drive...

When I'm not driving my 3.0 coupe I drive my '04 M3 or the 'family car' a Land Rover LR3.

My everday commuter ride is a '91 318is. I love driving this car, of course I've redone the suspension and added many performace parts, and on good days I ride my Trimuph Thruxton.

What do I drive?

Daily driver - 2007 M Coupe alternating with 1988 M6. When the weather is really bad - (we had over 70 inches of the white stuff last year in Baltimore and an equal amount of salt) - 1991 iX. For a long time I had no car newer than 15 yrs old, but the S54 engine in the M Coupe was too tempting.

Various shiney bits on the outside. :)

and with over 175,000 miles on the clock - DEAD reliable. I just had it down to California and back - 3,300 miles in two weeks. LOVED IT.

daily driver

My CS was my daily but since my CS has been with mario for a while I use my other DD, a vespa. 2005 GT200 or 1963 GS160 Mk1. Scooters are the best to get around NYC. For gigs a 2002 LR disco is on duty and for sunny days of fun a 69 MB 280sl. Does anyone else roll a vespa on this group?
 
My daily driver and off-road recreational vehicle is a 4WD Ford Ranger. For my euphoric acceleration needs I go in my 1969 Fairlane Cobra with a 428 Cobra Jet (7 liter) engine. For the track I go to my 1961 SCCA full race prepped Austin Healey Sprite.

I save the Coupe for when I want to go in style.

I'm afraid I'll be thrown off the forum for my transgressions, so I beg forgiveness in advance:

e39 540i Sportwagon is my daily driver with 146,000 miles Great versatile car
X5 for the Lady of the house and towing other cars
1960 Lotus Elite for twisties and concours
1965 Lotus Elan roadster for road dancing
1968 Lotus Seven for auto-crossing and local hooning
1970 Lotus Elan Plus 2 for trips too rough for the coupe
1991 Lotus Elan for no good reason'

But the Lady of the house lets me keep the others because we always take the coupe when we go out to dinner or someplace special.
 
My 'round the town' and short distance highway miles DD is my 87 euro e28. Otherwise, it's the 94 toyota 4runner sr5 v6.

2001 e39 540i is the daily driver. Bought new in September of 01 right after 9/11, cars were not selling and they were giving good deals; figured wht not at the time. Before that I had a 85 e28 535i. Sitll like the way it handled better than the 540i but the power of the 540i sure is sweet.
