+1 on the Tuffshine. It’s expensive but lasts a long time so well worth it.
this is what I use very easy to use and really shine and not price next time I will use Tuffshine to compare.

Still dealing with a sluggish acceleration. Cold idle high but good, just takes a bit to drop down, I will adjust those darn screws soon. Warm idle good. Air meter shows same air draw down both main throats, no gas dribbling in throats, accel pumps squirting when needed, timing is good, been advancing it a bit, replaced dizzy vacuum dashpot with a spare, still running retard as well, correct points gap, everything is new. Last detail to make it an enjoyable drive to Monterey but only a month to go!

@stphers Any advice?

Hi Chris
Are all inlet and exhaust valves adjusted correctly ?
How are all 6 cylinders have you done a compression test just to make sure all is well.
I am just shooting in the dark really with those suggestions, but at the same time it’s no harm checking all the same.
How is your fuel pressure going into the carburettors ?
Is the fuel tank vent pipe working.
And last silly question, I assume you don’t have any binding brakes .
Hopefully you will get it sorted before the planned trip :)
Good luck!!!

installed Alvaro’s vapor barriers but put them on the door cards instead
Chris, you do amazing work. I’m kind of picky but you are a perfectionist and it shows in the results.

Does the way you installed the vapor barrier risk water getting into the car in a very wet situation?

Also, I’ve been using mineral spirits because it’s safer than gas and yet almost as effective.

Still dumping fuel after five attempts, I’m done! Sent to Carb Refactory in Richmond, Ca. Hoping I can get them back in three weeks so I still have a shot at driving it to Monterey as I only need to get the a/c done when it is running again. Twenty minutes to remove them from the coupe, pretty quick I think.
