So I tried to install my UUC DSSR this weekend and this is what I'm encountered with (see pic). My shifter linkage and the trans input connector are different than what the DSSR was designed for. Any thoughts/advice?
Don't forget about the built in microphone feature of the Jambox. This allows hands free incoming/outgoing phone calls, which is great in a state like California where talking on the phone while driving is illegal....not to mention driving a stick and talking on the phone is a pain in the ass.
Also, consider swapping the rear subframe and swing arms/hub assembly from a later 3.0 cs as the 2800 had a narrower track and, I believe, drum brakes in the rear. If you are going through the trouble of taking the car apart there is no better time to consider this upgrade.
This whole topic has caught my attention, especially the system quoted above. James, can you tell us a bit more about your 123ignition setup (which carbs, installation difficulty, drivability, efficiency???). A video would be sweet if you have one.
YES! DO it!
I'm putting a diesel into a 1975 2002. See my thread here:

I also own a 1973 CS coupe and I did consider putting a diesel...
You should check out the DRM series from H&R...These have the pressed in studs you are looking for and they also use your existing studs to bolt to the hub.

yep....that's my car. Poor little guy has to live outside the garage until I get my project up and running. As Polaris mentioned, I'm putting a VW TDI diesel into a 2002.

auto kennel?
Auto Kennel?? I just checked out their website. Looks like a cool place. So are they restoring your car or just painting it? I like their open door policy....I'll definitely have to swing by sometime to hang out....car looks sweeeet BTW.
Crevier 6k original mile coupe
I was at Crevier BMW in Santa Ana, CA about six years ago and they had a siennabraun coupe in the showroom with something like 6K original miles. My memory of details are hazy, but I think it was a 1974 big bumper car. Last time I was there, about 3 years ago, I...
Mintgrun coupe
Would you mind taking a pic and posting. I've always wanted to see mintgrun on a coupe. It's one of my favorite colors on a 2002 for sure!
Namyang!
You must be there doing business with Hyundai/Kia because there ain't nothing else in Namyang. I'm a car designer for Kia, so I've been to the development center in Namyang many times. I hope you are staying at the Rolling Hills hotel. It's the only nice place to stay in the area...
I sold a 38 cm Petri in similar condition with hub last year for $500. Petri's are awesome looking, period correct steering wheels and are getting very hard to find. I regret selling it.....
GLWS...I wouldn't be surprised if your auction surpasses $600.
Interesting how many E9 owners also like Alpha's...and not so many Porsches.
Myself, I like both...
My list:
1)Alpha Romeo Giullietta Sprint
2)Porsche 356 (my wife's all-time fave, after the coupe of course)
3)Porsche 911 or 912 from '64-'73 only.
4)Jag e-type
5)Ford Bronco OR...
