Deconstruction Thread: How to part-out an E9

This thread is a good read, thank you for documenting all this. It's helpful for fastener info, placement, etc.

Thank you sir! I need to post an update but I don't have one. I drove my car the other day so it was motivation to get this pile out of my garage! I'll be working on it shortly but I'm also in the process of building a covered grilling area. I should wrap up just in time for the rainy season to end. :D

I could have used a LOT of bits off this old girl. Wish you were closer

I’ve had zero time to work on this, but a fun update regardless.

The engine is getting a second run in life. Not for my car, but pleasing to see!

Thanks, that explains the piano tops, US coupes had flat tops 8:0/1.

Yes I should have baby grand piano tops in my euro 2800 CS motor. Just a few HP more than the US 3.0. I took a video of the combustion chamber but they are hardly visible. It may have been you that pointed them out.

Lovely, it'll never be that clean again

Single row cam chain? I thought all E9 m30s came with duplex cam chains, no?

Well obviously not! Looking to be educated

New Double row cam gears are available in an emergency.... otherwise it’s better to use single row. So few are left.

Anyone needs one there is one left in Egypt today from a good seller.
